Six GENUIN recordings nominated for the ICMA 2018

Once again GENUIN is pleased about the many nominations it has received for the International Classic Music Award (ICMA). The international jury already nominated six GENUIN CDs for the coveted prize in 2016 and seven GENUIN CDs in 2017. This year six recordings are being nominated for the award.

The nominees include the MDR Radio Choir, the Aris Quartet, Christoph Sietzen, Percussion, Édua Zádory, violin, Sarah Christian, violin, and Daniel Beilschmidt, organ.

The International Classical Music Awards are presented in a total of 22 categories and are the only international awards for classical CDs and DVDs worldwide. This year, the jury nominated a total of 357 audio and video productions from 120 labels. The 17-member jury consists of chief editors of the most important European music magazines, radio stations, and online portals.

The final ICMA prize winners will be announced on January 18, 2018. The prizewinners will be honored with a ceremony and a gala concert on April 6th in Katowice, Poland, with the National Radio Symphony Orchestra of Poland conducted by Alexander Liebreich.
