Released in November, the Christmas CD "Strålande Jul - Strahlende Weihnacht," featuring the MDR Radio Choir under the direction of Philipp Ahmann, has stormed the classical charts!
The CD, which presents 28 Christmas songs from both Germany and all over the world, was ranked fist on JPC, the classical online retailer, and climbed all the way to second place at Amazon in the "choral music" category!
Until Dec 24th, MDR Figaro will be offering one Christmas carol from the CD each day at 8:40 a.m as part of its Advents calendar. In the feature, members of the MDR Radio Choir are introduced, who explain the Christmas traditions and customs of their respective home countries.
