Opening Concert of the Dresden Philharmonic

Opening Concert of the Dresden Philharmonic

This weekend, 27 and 28 August, the new season of the Dresden Philharmonic will start off with two opening concerts.
This will mark the beginning of the collaboration of the renowned Dresden orchestra with Michael Sanderling, its new Music Director. The concert on Saturday is already sold out - but that's no need to worry: GENUIN will record the opening concert and issue it next spring as the first CD of a new Dresden Philharmonic series.

Program:

»… Seit Ich Dich Sah« – Pelléas

Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924): Pelléas et Mélisande op. 80
Peter Tschaikowski (1840–1893): Capriccio italien op. 45
Sergej Prokofjew (1891–1953): Scenes from the ballet »Romeo and Juliet« op. 64 based on William Shakespeare
