Pianist Heidrun Holtmann studied with Renate Kretschmar-Fischer at the Detmold University of Music and won First Prize at the Concours Géza Anda in Zürich in 1982. Engagements including with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra London, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich quickly brought her to the international stage. As a guest at international festivals, she has performed concerts in Salzburg, Paris, at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, and at the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival, among other venues.
