The Leipzig native Imke Lichtwark received her education at the music gymnasium “Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach” in Berlin. She studied with Stephan Imorde (Rostock), Claudius Tanski (Salzburg) and Björn Lehmann (Berlin). As a soloist, she has performed with the RSB Berlin and with the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra from a young age.

Imke Lichtwark is a laureate of the competitions “Verfemte Musik”, the hmt-Musikpreis, the Steinway Competition Berlin and was supported by scholarships of the Ad Infinitum Foundation, the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation “Live Music Now” and the “Deutschlandstipendium”. Recordings followed at RBB, NDR and Deutschlandfunk Kultur. She is an accompanist at the Berlin University of the Arts and with the Berlin Girls Choir.
