KAPmodern-Ensemble

The KAPmodern Ensemble of the Kammerakademie Potsdam is the musical heart of the KAPmodern concert series at Potsdam’s Nikolaisaal. It consists of members of the Kammerakademie Potsdam and specially invited guest artists. Contemporary music and modern classics are the focus of KAPmodern.

The concerts, presented in a “sociable club atmosphere” (MAZ), have been organized by fl autist Bettina Lange and double bassist Tobias Lampelzammer since 2008. Both hold solo positions in the Kammerakademie Potsdam and have staged, among many others, programs such as The Grammar of Dreams, Beyond Good and Evil—Angels and Demons, Street Music, White Nights.

In addition to a top-notch interpretation of the compositions, it is important to them to help liberate New Music from its image of being a specialized, diffi cult to understand art form and to place it in an associative context making it accessible to everyone and with all the senses.
