Ákos Hoffmann

Ákos Hoffmann studied clarinet and music education at the University of Music Lübeck and graduated cum laude from the soloist class at the University of Music and Theater Hamburg. In addition to his international concert activities with some well-known chamber music partners and orchestras, he is also active as a musical director, arranger, and composer in connection with numerous pedagogical projects and concerts at festivals, opera houses, and with ensembles. He also works as a music teacher at a music-focused secondary school and holds a teaching position for clarinet at the University of Music Lübeck. In addition to his work writing for Bohlen-Pierce instruments, Hoffmann is also successful as a composer of children’s pieces. With over 60 performances, his orchestral composition Little Mermaid is one of the most successful works for young audiences in recent years.
