Katarzyna Wieczorek was born in Jelenia Gora, Poland into a musical household. She studied at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media with Martin Dörrie and Dr. Matti Raekallio. Katarzyna Wieczorek has won awards at national and international piano competitions. Concert tours have taken her throughout Europe and to South America, Asia and the United States. She has also performed as a guest artist at such well-known festivals as the Ludwigsburg Festival and the Rheingau Music Festival.

Her musical artistry is documented in recordings with WDR 3, BBC Radio and NDR Television. She is the official accompanist at many international competitions including the ARD International Music Competition or the Wieniawski Competition in Poznań, Poland. Katarzyna Wieczorek has given master classes at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Stetson University in Orlando, Florida. She is also a faculty member at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt/Main and the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. In addition to classical repertoire, she also performs free improvisation and jazz music.
