Antonia Lorenz, Philipp Zeller and Isabel von Bernstorff came together as an ensemble in 2006 based on their success at the German Music Competition (Deutscher Musikwettbewerb) within the nationwide selection of “Concert of Young Musicians”. The enthusiasm for this unusual instrumentation and positive audience reaction led them to continue working as a regular trio and to give guest performances in numerous renowned concert series.

Antonia Lorenz, born in Oldenburg, studied with Prof. Sabine Meyer and Prof. Reiner Wehle in Lübeck, later with Prof. Martin Spangenberg in Weimar, where in 2008 she passed her final exam with distinction. Since 2010 she is the principal clarinetist of the Oldenburgisches Staatstheater. Previously she held the same position at the Staatsoper in Stuttgart and the Komische Oper in Berlin. In 2008, together with Isabel von Bernstorff, she won the Zonta music prize as a duo. Since 2002 her interest in contemporary music has led the clarinetist regularly to the Stockhausen courses in Kürten, where in 2005 she won the 1 st prize for her performance of Stockhausen’s YPSILON.

Philipp Zeller, born in Stuttgart, studied with Prof. Albrecht Holder and Prof. Dag Jensen. Since 2009 he is the principal bassoonist of the Dresdner Philharmonie. He previously held the same position in Jena, Bochum, at the RundfunkSinfonieorchester in Berlin and the GürzenichOrchester in Cologne. His solo and chamber music career began in 2003 as prizewinner of the German Music Competition (Deutscher Musikwettbewerb). As a result he released a solo CD and since then has given performances at numerous festivals. Further awards followed at prestigious competitions in Prague and Oklahoma. As a soloist Philipp Zeller has performed amongst others with the Rundfunk
Sinfonieorchester Berlin and the Beethoven Orchester Bonn.

Isabel von Bernstorff, born in Bad Hersfeld, studied with Prof. Georg Sava in Berlin and Prof. Rainer Hoffmann in Frankfurt (piano chamber music and song accompaniment). Whilst she was still a student she gave concerts as a soloist and chamber musician in the Philharmonie in Berlin, in New York, in Lebanon, in Egypt and in Bahrain. She
has been involved in radio productions in cooperation with Deutschlandradio Kultur, Deutschlandfunk, NDR Kultur, Bayerischer and Hessischer Rundfunk. Isabel von Bernstorff has received several scholarships from the German Music Competition (Deutscher Musikwettbewerb). Since 2006 Isabel von Bernstorff has also held a teaching position at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main.
