Award ceremony: ICMA for Christoph Heesch

On May 10, 2019, the International Classical Music Awards were presented at the KKL Lucerne. GENUIN sound engineer Holger Busse and GENUIN artist Christoph Heesch, who received the ICMA for his CD The Golden Age—Cello 1925, were present.

"Christoph Heesch has put together a demanding and exciting program for his debut CD," stated the jury.

On his debut, the winner of the Fanny Mendelssohn Förderpreis performs four cello concertos by Paul Hindemith, Jacques Ibert, Bohuslav Martinů and Ernst Toch, all written between 1924 and 1925. The ICMA jury awarded Heesch in the "Concertos" category. A total of four GENUIN recordings were nominated for the ICMA.

Many congratulations to Christoph Heesch!

With The Golden Age—Cello 1925 a CD production of GENUIN classics receives the ICMA for the second time. As early as 2016, the complete edition of the life's work of pianist Dinorah Varsi Legacy was honored with the Special Award.
