Prizewinners of the Bach Competition 2018: GENUIN to produce recording with violinist Maia
22.7.2018: With a festive prizewinners’ concert, the XXI International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition 2018 in Leipzig came to a close on Saturday. The Bach Prizewinner 2018 distinction was awarded in three instrumental categories to nine young musicians from eight countries.
GENUIN classics also selected a winner: in addition to Second Prize in the violin category, violinist Maia Cabeza received the GENUIN Special Prize as well. This award entails a CD production that will be released as part of the Bach Competition Edition.

The next competition, the XXII International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition Leipzig, will be held from July 13-25, 2020 in the categories of organ, voice, and cello/baroque cello.
