Lars Karlin's debut recording is "CD of the week" at Radio Stephansdom

Worth listening to and fascinating: Radio Stephansdom presented the recording A Swedish Trombone Wilderness by trombonist Lars Karlin as its "CD of the week." "Modern, exciting and humorous," the trombonist opens his recording with the piece "Hautposaune for Trombone and Tape" by Anders Hillborg. Already, from the first notes on, one is invited to open one's ears.

The review praises Lars Karlin’s musicianship as virtuoso and precise. Moreover, the Swede was also impressive in his "diversity of sound, musicality and the vitality of his performance." In 2011 Lars Karlin won the German Music Competition. "A Swedish Trombone Wilderness", which is part of the Edition Primavera series at GENUIN, is his debut recording. On it, together with his musical friends, he plays his way through the Nordic compositional landscape and a diverse array of musical styles.
