GENUIN Artist Receives Düsseldorf Honorary Prize

Tobias Koch has awarded the Norbert Burgmüller Badge of the City of Düsseldorf on Sunday, 26 April. The concert pianist was receiving it for his commendable commitment to Düsseldorf’s music history, the appreciation of which has always been especially important to him.
He has also borne Düsseldorf’s music history in his CD recordings. His recordings on the Leipzig label GENUIN include, among other things, the complete piano works of Norbert Burgmüller and the complete piano works of Robert Schumann’s Düsseldorf period.

Tobias Koch was awarded the Furtherance Prize for Music of the Provincial Capital of Düsseldorf already in 1998. He is active in international concert life, especially in the area of historical performance practice, both as a soloist and chamber music partner.
Other recordings on GENUIN are the duet recordings with Lisa Marie Landgraf of Robert Schumann’s Complete Works for Violin and Pianoforte on Original Instruments und Mozart’s Electress Sonatas.
