Ana-Marija Markovina, Piano
Ana-Marija Markovina, who lives in Cologne, began her artistic career with early successes at national and international competitions, which led to a busy career as a concert pianist. She studied at the Musikhochschule in both Detmold and Weimar and earned her piano performance degree at the Hanns Eisler Conservatoire in Berlin. Her most influential teachers were Professor Paul Badura-Skoda and Professor Rolf-Dieter Arens. Ana-Marija Markovina has performed with the Philharmonisches Orchester Kiel, the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen, the Staatstheater-Orchester Darmstadt, the Sinfonieorchester Münster, the Folkwang Kammerorchester, the Sächsische Kammerphilharmonie, the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn, the Romanian Radio Chamber Orchestra, the Sofia Soloists, the Orchestra dell‘Università di Milano, and the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo. She has performed at major German venues such as the Konzerthaus Berlin,
Hamburg’s Musikhalle, Beethovenhalle in Bonn, the Prinzregententheater, Munich, the Meistersingerhalle in Nuremberg, and the Liederhalle in Stuttgart, and received invitations to the major German festivals, such as the Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival and the Klavier-Festival Ruhr. She has undertaken concert tour to London, Amsterdam, Milan, Rome, Lisbon, Bucharest, Sofia, Kiev, Tokyo, Sapporo, Nagoya, Kyoto, and Osaka.
