Praised by the critics for her fiery temperament, exceptional charisma and great command of her instrument in the romantic and modern repertoires, Brazilian-born pianist Juliana Steinbach is considered as one of the most gifted artists of the young generation. In the past few years, she has performed extensively throughout Europe, as well as in North and South America, Middle-East and Asia. Following her debut in 2002 with the Israel Symphony Orchestra, she has appeared as a soloist with the Rundfunk Blasorchester Leipzig, Budapest MÁV Symphony Orchestra, Fribourg Youth Orchestra, Paris Symphony and Lyric Orchestra, Paris Conservatory Laureates Orchestra, Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfônica da Paraíba in Brazil, collaborating with conductors such as Mendi Rodan, Jan Cober, László Kovács, Théophanis Kapsopoulos, Michael Cousteau, François-Xavier Roth, Sergio Monterisi and João Linhares. Her performances have taken her to major venues such as Paris Auditorium du Louvre and Cité de la Musique, Lyon Salle Molière, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Hamburg Musikhalle, Munich Gasteig, Firenze Teatro della Pergola, New York Lincoln Center, Rio de Janeiro Sala Cecilia Meireles, Buenos Aires Teatro Colón, Tel-Aviv Museum and Tokyo Casals Hall. A recipient of the Cziffra, Natexis, Umberto Micheli, Meyer and Alfred Reinhold Foundations, Juliana Steinbach has been a top prize winner in several international competitions: Artlivre in São Paulo (2000), Tel-Hai in Israel (2001), First Prize at ‘Premio’ Vittorio Gui in Italy (2002) and Beethoven Prize at Trieste Competition in Italy (2005). Juliana Steinbach graduated at Lyon and Paris Conservatories in France, Imola Academy in Italy and The Juilliard School in New York. Her main teachers were Bruno Rigutto, Jacques Rouvier, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Franco Scala, Pnina Salzman, Maria João Pires and Joseph Kalichstein.
